What food tours do you run?
We run expert-led walking food tours across the North East - Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham and the Northumberland coast. Our most popular is the two-hour Grainger Market Food Tour (£39 per person, 5-6 stop-offs, all food and drinks included), meeting by Grey's Monument in Newcastle. Other tours include a cheese and wine experience and our Northumberland coastline tour with local delicacies like Craster oysters and smoked fish.
Can we book a private hen do tour?
We love hosting hen dos. Private tours run for groups of 4 to 30 guests, Monday to Saturday, with start times and routes adapted to you - and we will even act as your personal photographer. Private booking adds £30 per group on Grainger Market tours or £50 per group on our other tours to the per-person price.
What is included in the price?
Everything you taste: generous portions at carefully chosen independent eateries, street food stalls and market vendors, including drinks at the stops. Our guides bring each city's history and food culture to life along the way.
How long are the tours?
The Grainger Market tours run for two hours and cover around 0.3-0.8 miles at a gentle walking pace. Full details on distance and inclines are on each tour page so you can choose the right fit for your group.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Let us know your requirements when booking and we will tailor stops where we can. One exception: the Grainger Market tours are not suitable for guests who need a gluten-free diet.

We had the best time today on our grainger market food tour, as locals I was hoping to learn a bit too and we did! Loved the mix of history and humour from Lee, he’s absolutely fantastic at his job! We loved all of the food too and I noted I was pescatarian but didn’t expect anything to change but was fully catered for and it was all delicious. We really loved our day thank you so so much!

A great couple of hours spent today on the Grainger market food tour (part 1) Incredibly good value for the money and loads of different treats to try . Don’t have any breakfast before you go . Lee was a super and entertaining guide with lots of knowledge on the history of Newcastle and the history of the Grainger Market . I’ll definitely make a point of visiting the market more and sampling more of the foodie delights on offer . Definitely one to recommend.
