What food tours do you run in Bath?
Our Food Heroes Tour is a semi-private, 3-hour guided sampling tour of Bath's independent food and drink scene, with a minimum of 2 and maximum of 6 participants. It runs Wednesday to Friday at 9.45am and 2pm, and on selected Saturdays at 9.45am, from February to November, and costs £90 per person - automatically reducing to £85 per person when booking 5 or 6 tickets. Advance booking at least 48 hours ahead is essential.
Can we book a private tour for our hen party?
Yes. Our private food and drink sampling tours are bespoke to your group, on a date and time that suits you (Tuesday to Saturday, year-round), with at least two weeks' notice. Private tours are priced per group: £315 for 2 people, £400 for 4, £510 for 6, £600 for 8 and £680 for 10 - from £68 per person. Each guide takes a maximum of 8-10 people, and we can provide multiple guides for larger groups.
What will we taste?
A wide variety of food and drink tastings from Bath's artisan producers - roughly equal amounts of savoury and sweet samples - all suitable for vegetarian diets. Your locally based guide shares the stories of the city's food heroes, anecdotal tales of Bath's culinary heritage, and personal recommendations, plus a bespoke map and a best-of-the-rest handout so you can retrace your steps.
Can we shorten a private tour?
Yes. The standard private tour is 3 hours, but a faster-paced 2-hour version with fewer stops is available for groups of at least 6 people. Longer tours can also be arranged - tell us your plans when you enquire.
What other experiences do you offer?
Alongside guided tours we run a Tour of Bath with Afternoon Tea, Gin Spa and Cheese Spa tasting events at a private venue (1 to 1.5 hours), seasonal tours such as the Flavours of Christmas, and a self-guided Food Heroes audio tour you can download and take in your own time.
Where do tours start, and how do we book?
Each tour starts from a location within a 10-15 minute walk of Bath Spa station, Bath Abbey or the Roman Baths; you will receive the precise meeting point (with a what3words link) in your confirmation email. Book scheduled tours online up to 2 days in advance; for private tours, enquire at hello@savouringbath.com. Please tell us dietary requirements in advance - we cannot usually change samples on the day.

Me and my partner went on a spa history tour followed by an afternoon tea and would definitely book another tour next time we are in Bath. Our tour guide Andrew was very friendly and knew a lot about the history in the area. We had to postpone our tour by 2 days due to the heatwave and the company was very understanding. I would definitely recommend booking a tour with Savouring Bath to anyone visiting the area
