Lady Gargoyle runs food tours for groups of up to 20, leading hen parties on guided walks built around eating and drinking well. A food tour is a brilliant way to get to know a place through its flavours: a knowledgeable guide, a route of tasty stops, and the stories behind what you are trying.
For a hen group it doubles as both an activity and a meal, with plenty of grazing along the way. Tours run out in the area rather than at a fixed venue, so routes, starting points and timings are confirmed when you book. let them know about dietary requirements at the same time so stops can be planned with everyone in mind.

What tours do you offer in Oxford?
I am Jess, an award-winning Green Badge guide and local historian, offering bespoke private walking tours of Oxford: a two-hour historical tour including a college visit, themed tours covering Literary Oxford, Radical Oxford, Tolkien and CS Lewis, Alice in Wonderland, women's history and more. plus one of Oxford's few accredited Christ Church tours.
How much does a private tour cost?
A two-hour private tour costs £160 per group (up to 19 people, the limit most colleges allow), £260 for a half-day and £375 for a full day. College and Divinity School entrance fees (£3-£10 per person) are extra.
Can we book a tour for a hen group?
Yes. a private tour is a lovely daytime hen activity, and I will happily tailor the route to your interests, whether that is Harry Potter filming locations, Alice in Wonderland or Oxford's radical women. Email ladygargoyletours@gmail.com to check my availability for your date.
What will we see on the historical tour?
Starting at the Saxon tower of St Michael at the North Gate, we take in Broad Street, the Sheldonian Theatre, the Divinity School and Bodleian Library, the Bridge of Sighs, Radcliffe Square and film locations, and step inside one of the historic colleges (subject to availability on the day).

I sometimes run public tours with individual tickets. check my upcoming tours page. but most of my work is private tours booked direct.
What is your cancellation policy?
Following the British Guild of Tour Guides policy: cancelling more than seven days ahead carries no charge; inside that window, cancellation charges apply (50% of the fee closer to the date). You can pay by card, cash, bank transfer or PayPal.
