Kingsurf Surf School

Highlight of our holiday our surf lesson in Mawgan Porth! All of The instructors were ace – really friendly, The whole place has such cool, relaxed vibes, making it good experience from start to finish. We Can’t wait to come back for another session. If you’re in Mawgan Porth you definitely need to make this a part of your holiday!

The company is located right next to the beach. They provide all equipment you will need and go above and beyond to be sure you are ready (even included neck salve and sunscreen for our kids). We had both Will and Jake as our instructors. Will was amazing with the kids. He was patient and made it fun for them both. I highly recommend this surf company and the wonderful people who work there.

Highlight of my Holiday! I have just got home from a weeks holiday away in Mawgan Porth and I genuinely had the best time. I booked onto 2 lessons initially, but decided to add another towards the end of the week. I initially emailed Kingsurf the week before attending (Outside of school holidays, so much quieter time) and was in contact with the lovely Rosa! She was quick to respond and very approachable. My first lesson was on Monday with Jack. Despite being nervous, Rosa and Jack quickly made me feel at ease and part of the crew (Which was awesome!). On arrival, I found the surf hut to be clean, Tidy and very welcoming. I was given a wetsuit which was clean and good condition! (Not often this good quality at a surf school!) and an adequate surf board (I am quite a large chap). They talked me through the basics before heading straight into the water and trying to stand! I managed to stand a few times with the fantastic tips that Jack was constantly giving me in the water! My second and third lessons of the week (Tuesday and Friday) was with the awesome "Dude" Jake. Jake was probably the most chilled, laid back person I've ever met! (Just what you need when trying to learn how to surf!). Both times they took me out, and tried different techniques on how to surf. The Thrill/Buzz I experienced from standing on the board for what felt like forever, was such an amazing feeling. I genuinely couldn't have done it without the help of Kingsurf! From Rosa in admin, Jack and Jake taking the surf lessons in the water. I will be forever grateful for making my time in the surf lessons and between the most memorable part of my holiday. The positive comments from both instructors on "How much I had come on" from the first lesson to the third was also very lifting and motivational. The best thing is all the people working at Kingsurf are keen surfers, that surf at every free opportunity they have. So they aren't doing it just as a day job, but to share something they love and it really does rub off. If you are unsure about booking on, just DO IT! You won't regret it! Oh, and my moto for surfing is "You have to fail to succeed". Be prepared to fall in 100 times before you nail it! I look forward to returning in the future. Thankyou Kingsurf!
