What is an Escape Hunt escape room?
You and your teammates get locked into a themed world, in story terms at least, and have to find and solve a series of clues to complete your mission before the clock wins. It is completely immersive and utterly addictive, with our games masters monitoring every game and ready with a hint if you need one. You are never in danger and can leave the room at any time.
How many people can play, and can a hen party play together?
Our escape rooms are ideal for groups of between two and six. If your hen party has more than six people, split into two teams across different rooms and have a friendly, or indeed unfriendly, head-to-head competition. We also offer party packages for hen and stag celebrations here in the Westgate centre on Queen Street.
How long does the whole experience last?
Around 90 minutes in total. Please arrive promptly at your start time: we allow around 15 minutes before your game for waivers, game rules and your adventure briefing, then you have up to 60 minutes in the room, which is the maximum time you have to escape. Afterwards we invite your group to enjoy our lounge, in-house bar and photo opportunity space.
How much does it cost?
Indoor escape room prices per person depend on team size: currently £36 each for 2 players, £33 for 3, £28 for 4, £27 for 5 and £26 for 6 players. Our outdoor City Hunt games cost £15 per player, and we also offer discounts for students, over 60s and key workers. We only accept card payments at our venues.
Is there an age limit, and what should we wear?
Our escape room games are suitable for ages 8 and over, and under 16s must be accompanied in the room by a paying adult over 18. Come as you are; we suggest comfortable clothing as the games can get quite intense. Other than that, just bring your team and a set of working brains.
What if we need to change our booking?
We will do everything we can to reschedule your game free of charge, provided you give us at least 24 hours notice and the new date is within 30 days of your original booking. Please contact our Oxford team directly to rearrange. Unfortunately we cannot provide refunds if someone in your group does not turn up.

Me and two of my friends did Curse of the Pharaoh and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff member, Enya, who was in charge of our escape room, was lovely. They were very good in making us feel immersed in the room and provided great entertainment with their voice acting. They were also very helpful in giving us clues that weren’t too obvious which made it more challenging for us, but we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. I highly recommend Escape Hunt and I’ll definitely be back at some point to try out the other rooms.

I’m a bit late posting this review, but I had the pleasure of visiting the Escape Hunt twice and had an amazing time on both occasions! Izzy, our host for both rooms (Dalek Awakens and Alice in Puzzleland) did an incredible job keeping us immersed and making these experiences the best they could be. The rooms themselves are also incredibly detailed with some really creative puzzle design; I think the best escape rooms I’ve ever gotten to participate in. I highly recommend this place, whether you’re looking for a special occasion or just a fun time with friends!

From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and completely immersed in the atmosphere. We played Curse of the Pharaoh, and it was an incredible experience. The puzzles were engaging, the story was captivating, and the set design was exceptionally well executed, making us feel like we were part of the adventure from start to finish. Alex and Divya. Alex was a beacon of knowledge and enthusiasm, he knows these games inside out and went above and beyond to make our experience even better. Divya was equally warm and welcoming, helping create a fun and memorable visit. If you're looking for an immersive escape room experience with fantastic staff, I couldn't recommend Escape Hunt more highly. We'll definitely be back!
