What is Newquay Activity Centre?
We are Newquay's award-winning adventure centre at 60 Fore Street, transforming beginners into confident surfers and coastline explorers since 1996. From beginner surf lessons on Fistral and Great Western beaches to adrenaline-fuelled coasteering routes, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, our instructor-led sessions are tailored to your experience level and comfort.
How much do activities cost?
Beginner surf lessons start from £55 per person for about two hours; paddleboarding and Super SUP tours from £65; our Adventure Gully coasteering experience from £60; combined Coasteer, Snorkel and Super SUP from £90; snorkelling tours from £55. Sessions run around two hours and are subject to tides and weather, which we manage for you when you book.
Can we book Newquay Activity Centre for a hen party?
We built a product for you: the Stag & Hen Cornish Challenge, from £42.50 per person for a two-hour, 18+ group session designed for celebration parties. Hen groups are equally welcome across the menu: a beginner surf lesson (most of the group standing by the end) or a coasteering route along the cliffs, all with expert instructors and every ability looked after.
Do we need experience?
None. We cater for solo travellers, families, stag and hen parties, schools and military teams, and our sessions are built for first-timers: instructors assess the conditions daily, choose the right beach or route, and coach you through every stage. If you can swim and you are up for it, you are qualified.
Who can take part?
Most activities are age 8 and up, with the Stag & Hen Cornish Challenge strictly 18+. Family Super SUP sessions welcome ages 3+ in private groups. Check your chosen activity's page for its exact requirements, or ask our booking team, who answer from 8am to 10pm daily.

We really enjoyed our paddleboard and snorkel experience at Newquay Activity Centre. Our instructor, Rudi, was very friendly, supportive, and informative during our session, and we learnt lots about the area and the wildlife that we saw. The paddleboarding and snorkelling combination was great and gave us the opportunity to enjoy the Newquay coast from above and below.

We have never been paddle boarding before but our instructor Rudi was very easy going and made learning easy and our trip fun (the hardest part was honestly getting into the wetsuit), we really enjoyed snorkeling and was lucky enough to see a young grey seal up close (very fat and cute). It was our first ever trip experience and it couldn't have gone better, I would highly recommend and will be back again on our next trip! :D Unfortunately videos cannot be sent so a blurry photo of the seal it is

My daughters did the beginners surfing lesson and Leroy and Zak were brilliant with them. They were really patient and enthusiastic teachers. We also did the coasteering as a family with Heath. Again, we had such a good time and made some amazing memories. Heath was patient and didn't pressurise anyone into doing anything they didn't want to buy always gave positive encouragement. See you next year for some different activities!
