Our Oxford 40-minute cruise from Folly Bridge to Iffley Lock and back is £16 per adult (£11 per child, under-3s free), departing hourly from 11am to 5pm, April to September. You'll pass the famous university boat clubs and Christ Church Meadow.
Can we hire a boat privately for a hen party?
Yes. Private charters run from one hour to a full day for groups of 1 to 150, with a professional skipper and exclusive use of the boat. A five-hour day hire for up to 12 passengers is £670 Sunday-Friday (£790 on Saturdays), with catering and entertainment tailored on request.
What about a small group?
Our small group charters carry 1-12 passengers on your own private vessel with dedicated crew, bookable online. You can bring small nibbles or sandwiches aboard; drinks are bought from our licensed on-board bar.
How long are the trips?

I used Salters Steamers to transport wedding guests from the ceremony to the reception. I found them professional and responsive in the run up to the event; and the on-board catering was as described and good quality. The jazz band they provided was excellent. The boat crew were responsive, friendly and competent. I would thoroughly recommend Salters Steamers for a private event.

Today me and my Friends did the one hour Prosecco boat tour. Simon was our host and he was nothing but amazing!!! Not only was he extremely knowledgeable he kept us entertained and the Spirits high even in the hot weather. We will all be returning again and cannot wait! Big shoutout to Simon he truly was a great host and we’d recommend asking for him on your next tour :)

Absolutely perfect afternoon on the Thames with a lovely afternoon tea. Having lived in Oxford for over 20 years, it was great to see it from a different angle - so glad we booked our trip.
