How much is the Oxford Experience Cruise?
Our 45-minute Oxford Experience sightseeing cruise costs from £19 per adult off-peak (£24 at peak times) and £14 for children under 12. We recommend booking in advance, as it is one of our most popular trips.
What longer cruises can we take?
Our 3-hour Picnic Cruise costs from £64 per adult (£74 peak), including a picnic hamper from The Folly restaurant, and sails April to October. We also run afternoon tea, cocktail and spritz cruises in season.
Can we hire a boat privately for our hen party?
Yes. Each of our skippered electric boats takes up to 12 guests, and larger groups cruise together on multiple boats. Bespoke small-boat hire for up to 10 runs from £220 for one hour off-peak (£350 peak), with food and drinks packages available.
When do cruises run?
Our public sightseeing cruises run daily from March to November, with the picnic cruise from April to October. Private hire is available year-round.
Where do we board?
We depart from our moorings at The Folly, 1 Folly Bridge, Oxford OX1 4JU. Only alcohol bought from us or The Folly can be consumed on board.
What will we see?
We cruise the university regatta course past Christ Church meadows, the college boathouses and Iffley Lock, with your skipper sharing the history of the river as you go.

Henry is the best skipper! Fantastic experience and always a must in a visit to Oxford! We upgraded our experience with a refreshing lemonade for the children in a hot summer day! Gracias

Had an absolutely wonderful time on this excursion. Everything was 5 star from the food, service, boat, location and our very knowledgeable skipper, Russell. Honestly, I did not want it to end and could have happily spent another 3 hours on board! Highly recommend!

A very good boat cruise with a fantastic crew and beautiful views. The trip was very enjoyable although the time went so quickly. The drinks refreshments were reasonable value and well needed on such a hot summers day. Also the staff member at the bookings office was very friendly too. The only slight downfall was the time of the last cruise. On the day I went it was 4pm. An evening cruise would be nice to do avoiding the main heat of the day. Will definitely be back again 😃
