About Dorset Queen
What makes this a great fit for your hen weekend
All aboard the Dorset Queen, Poole Harbour's vintage-feel cruise boat and one of Dorset's most memorable settings for a hen celebration. Departing from Poole Quay, cruises take in the calm waters of the harbour and out along the Jurassic Coast, giving your group sea air, big skies and a constantly changing backdrop for the photo album.
A boat party has a magic that land venues cannot match: the group is all together in one beautiful space, the drinks flow, and the coastline does the decorating for you. Dorset Queen welcomes groups of up to 85, so there is room for the full hen party contingent, and cruises typically run for two to four hours. long enough to feel like a proper occasion without taking over the whole day.
Cruises operate seasonally with specific event sailings through the year, so it is worth checking the schedule and booking your date early, particularly for summer weekends. Any time of day works on the water, from sunny afternoon sailings to golden-hour evening trips.
For a Dorset hen do with genuine wow-factor, swapping four walls for open water aboard the Dorset Queen is hard to beat.

The tea was plentiful and delicious served by friendly and lovely staff the commentary was very informative describing all the interesting points around the Harbour and we learnt an awful lot about the Harbour and its surroundings. Floating around the Heart of Poole on the Dorset Queen is a perfect addition to a wedding day. All the staff are so helpful and bend over backwards to make the day work. I've shot both sunny and wet weddings on the Dorset Queen. They were all fantastic days to remember.
